I despise department stores because it's a gamut of disaster and mass production. I've always tipped my hat off to management in their keen ability to hire incredible staff and establish a phenomenal work culture in retail. Walk in and instantly you are in a happy place. Everyone is always polite, poised and elegant with the willingness to go above and beyond delighting their patrons. This place never ceases to leave me flashing a dazzling smile from finding the perfect slinky dress to being refreshed at the spa or decompressing over a latte at the eCafe. I'm always impressed by the buyer's choices and displays that flirt with you in a way that you don't realize you just handed over a blank check. Merchandise is abundant to stimulate your wallet, but never where I feel like a carbon copy exists. The deal closer for me is always the exchange/return policy. I shouldn't have to have a tug of war if I changed my mind. I rarely do but like knowing I don't have to hand over my future firstborn just to get a refund.
