OK I'm going to be completely honest here....a part of me doesn't want to write a review of this authentic Irish pub because I don't want it to become a hot commodity. BUT, since it's so great, I have to give it props and the review it deserves.
To say that this place is cozy and perfect is an understatement. The building is a converted general store/house/barber shop/and now pub that sits on the corner of Wooster and Center Ridge Road in Rocky River. On one particular visit, one of my coworkers and I cozied up to the bar when we got there and started chatting with Joe, the bartender who turns out is also a manager. He told us all about how the place used to be a general store, which is why it has that open, yet also sectioned off feeling. The upstairs used to be an apartment that is now a cozy spot that can also be rented out for parties (hello dart board, separate bar and private bathroom!). The downstairs also opens up to a side patio that would be perfect for small get-togethers in the warmer months. When talking to Joe, he also mentioned that a lot of the décor and some of the furniture came from the Hoolihan's that used to be downtown.
I've only ever had a Guinness here but they have a fully stocked bar that has something for everyone!
