Sorry for the length - Summary is that these folks are not to be trusted.
I am trying to help my nephew co-sign on a vehicle. We found one at this lot and went through the process of financing through them. We were going to put down $1500 and I was doing it on my credit card. They said they needed to swipe the card for verification of funds and the car would not be charged, I was verbally told the "deposit" was refundable. They had my nephew sign a purchase agreement - not a contract, and not my signature - and they ran the card. When we had to leave, we had not been been approved for financing. In the 2 hours we were gone, my nephew received an offer for a vehicle deal that better suited him. When I called Arizona Best to cancel the deal, they informed me that we had been approved for a loan (not even sure what the payments would have been so I am STILL not sure we would have actually bought the vehicle) and therefore the $1000 "deposit" was nonrefundable.
Do they NEED business so badly that they would STEAL money from us? I am baffled. I have since canceled the pending transaction with my credit card company and will also be taking legal action against them.
The cars were good and I believe that they MAY have been great to do business with IF (BIG IF) they did not try to be sneaky in their paperwork and "down payments". I do NOT recommend that you give them ANY money until you are 100% sure you are finishing the deal you are making on the vehicle they have. They WILL NOT BE REASONABLE.
