  • I was pretty excited to try this place which made me even more disappointed for the visit today. First, the place is as filthy inside as it is outside. Food and trash all over the floor. They probably don't sweep until close every day. If you are a germ freak..RUN! The bathrooms were even worse. The menus don't get wiped down, neither do any of the condiments at the table. Second, the service was terrible. We placed out order and I had to ask for pumpkin bread 3 times during my visit before I received it. No one came to check on us. I had to fight to get half and half for my coffee. Third, the food. We order the pancake special and the 2 egg special. The pancakes were decent but nothing tasted fresh like you would expect from a diner. When I finally got that pumpkin bread I was fighting to get it was terrible. If this is what diners were like in the 50s than I would have hated the 50s. I don't expect 5 star service or environment but I felt uncomfortable just sitting in this filthy place.
