All I can say is steer clear. My mother (86 years old) underwent chemo and radiation treatment at Ironwood and prepaid for her the majority of her copayments. She gave notice she was discontinuing treatment on 2/22/17 and has a credit on her account in excess of $900.00... We have contact Ironwood on several occasions since 4/4/17 requesting a refund.
We have been assured that all billing has been paid and she does have the credit, but the refund needed to be approved by the business manager, Enid Monoco... I have left 3 messages for Ms. Monoco and to date (2 months later) no refund has been received and she has not even given us the consideration of a response or update when we would receive the refund. The billing staff can only tell me that they have sent the email to Enid requesting the refund and that she has to approve it. This unreasonable and unprofessional delay is making this period in our family's life even more difficult.
