A man came on the bus in a tough situation. I'm a jerk because I judged him immediately... by his clothes, cleanliness, and the desperate look in his face before he even spoke a full sentence. (He didn't smell or anything. Generally, most Bolt passengers are put-together commuters or tourists though, so he stood out). But he spoke to the driver and said he only had $30 left on him and was $5 short of a trip HALFWAY home. The man was in a dire situation and yet I still thought he was lying. Instead of judging him, the 2 Bolt guys spoke on the side, let him have a free ride all the way home, and get this: the driver gave him $20 to help a poor man out. That's a good person. Thanks for the big heart and for the reminder that we should treat each other like human beings. I'm so touched!
P.S. Ride was great! Love Bolt Bus. They leave right on time from the downtown stop. Always support a business that supports the community!
