First time I have ever been to a Mario Batali restaurant and was pleased with the ambiance, great service, and of course, the quality and complexity of the food.
I loved the food, so why only three stars? Because the portions are ridiculously small. Not like compared to over-stuffed American portions. Like small for even European portions. I had one of the two gnocchi dishes and I swear it had 10 small potato dumplings in a sea of English peas.
My date had the blue crab raviolis and hated them. They smelled god awful, too. They do have some unusual things on the menu like tongue and tripe. Not sure that's really a plus unless you really like that sort of thing and can't find it elsewhere in Vegas.
