| - For starters, I wonder why I have only been here twice since living near by for two years? Paco's was busy during our late dinner visiting time, however both hostesses were pleasant and in good moods, took our information and then enthusiastically confirmed that it would be fine if we waited at the bar (about a twenty minute wait we were told). Before we could even order our drinks at the bar, the sweet and extremely polite hostess came up and said "miss your table is ready". So that was maybe a five minute wait, if that. Nice surprise because we were both very hungry! ;)
We were seated in a booth in the downstairs corner. The ambiance is casual and warm in the seated sections allowing you the opportunity to relax, but there are also TVs at and around the bar for those who want to come and just catch a game and have a drink.
The waitress was timely, polite, and patient with my boyfriend who comically tends to take forever to choose his meal. Meanwhile, we ordered margaritas-the watermelon summer one is spectacular! Just the right amount of flavor and liquor, goes down so crisp and easy it could be dangerous. Chips and salas were ever-flowing and fresh. The only complaint here for me is that the chips were pretty salty. But I applaud the freshness of both chips and salsa, and the spice kick in the salsa is just the right amount! The salsa is the perfect texture, not too chunky and not too watery.
The menu has options for vegetarian or GF, which is what I look for now as another way to bump a review up in stars. They have veggie fajitas, fiesta bowls, veggie enchiladas, corn tortilla options, etc. I had the fiesta bowl with no protein added. It was a generous amount of food, looked lovely and colorful and the avocado was just amazing on it. Everything was cooked well and tasted fresh. My boyfriend had three tacos: turkey, beef, shrimp. He loved how they tasted with the only complaint being slightly dry. He has previously had the fajitas which remain his favorite.
Overall it is a nice dining experience with no complaints. Food is fresh, people are kind, staff works together to refill water/chips/salsa/remove plates, drinks are amazing, and they do have a cute little patio out front. This is the kind of place you keep coming back to because you know you can get good food. We will return and I look forward to trying new things on the menu each time.
