This used to be the hotel I would tell people was the best bang for the buck. It was nice but you could get a decent price and it had a decent pool. I hadn't stayed her in quite a few years because I felt it had become run down a bit. I was excited to hear it was being remodeled but quickly disappointed by the cheap quality of the remodel. The pool was shut down during my stay so they allowed us to go to MGM or Mandalay Bay to go to the pool. They are nice substitutions but a bit of a pain. The worst part is the arena being here. They really needed to put in pedestrian bridges and fencing to keep people out of the street. I'm not sure why they didn't but every night when the arena lets out you will spend an hour trying to get back to the hotel. Don't take an Uber or cab here in the evening. You will never get in. I also don't like the fact you have to pay to park now. First was the high resort fee that they added on that doesn't show on their rates online and now you pay for parking. It is what it is, so I recommend paying the extra $5 a day for valet. Makes it more worth the money since you can park on other properties. The one positive note is that the employees here are great. They always willing to help and I appreciate that. My final conclusion is that I would not stay here again if nothing else because it is so hard to get in at night and the fact it feels cheap now. The clientele have also changed. This has become a more bargain location which is I am guessing what the owners wanted. If you flew in and don't have a car it isn't bad. Just have the Uber or cab drop you off at New York New York and walk over.
