| - Family member taken to MVMC for emergency. During shift changes nurses discussed patient condition and turnover information in patient's room in front of family, were unorganized and in a hurry, not open to questions, new Doctors every day, did not know who was in charge of what procedure/test, hard to find one Dr who could answer all questions rather than just related to procedure, needed records for follow up care, medical records folks treated us like an inconvenience and were rude, wanted to charge $90 for paper copy of the records which I understand, had to wait two hours to get some records on CD, (CD great), had to wait a good week for other needed information needed for follow up appointments with our own Doctors (not with this hospital), Drs prescribed expensive meds not on insurance formulary, wrote Drs a letter with questions from insurance to get special exception and possible partial refund to patient, called hospital with theses questions and no one bothered to return our call, wrote letters to both Drs who signed the prescriptions and neither one bothered to respond so we paid an outrageous full price. Did not think insurance questions were unreasonable--were other meds considered and why was this one selected. Makes me wonder why they were unwilling to answer these insurance questions...will avoid this place in the future if we have anything to say about it.
