Nice little dive to grab a pint at. I noticed a couple jazz musicians playing in the window but didn't hear them when I was inside. That would be a tight spot for them as there isn't a lot of room but it would be cool nonetheless.
The bartender was friendly and chatting to customers as I sat at the bar enjoying my Duggans stout which was a dollar cheaper than at Painted Lady just around the corner which was nice, plus they were open earlier which made it even better.
For more fun and similar beer, try the Painted Lady, and for a better beer selection there is Get Well a few doors down. But these places open a little later, and that's where Communist's Daughter can help whet your whistle when you are in a bind.
