We are new to Nevada and chose Apex Medical in large part due to Dr. Bonnick's positive reviews.
Big mistake.
Our first clue that things were not going to go well was when we found out Dr. Bonnick doesn't work at the office closest to our house, but instead ove fifteen miles away. We opted for a nurse practitioner at the closer office.
On our first visit, we had to fill out the book another reviewer mentioned- despited having electronic and printed copies of our medical records.
The nurse practitioner was pleasant. She wanted my bloodwork done, so I went back the following mornjng and (with a different person performing the procedure) had the worst draw experience ever. She tapped a vein in my hand and couldn't get the flow going. We sat there for an interminable period while I tried not to pass out until finally it was over.
One of the prescriptions my husband needs requires preauthorization. This is a nightmare. I should explain about the website their phone messages send you to: we originally made our appointments on the site, but called in when we didn't get a confirmation. Good thing - no record of the attempt! Supposedly you can leave messages for your provider on the portal - but these never get a response. So nearly two weeks later, after calling and trying to send messages, I had the insurance company call the office. Try to call, that is, as their phone system says that they are busy, try back later or use their website!
Dreadful. We are going to look for a different medical office.
