Fantastic Japanese food and service but didn't think it was worth the $175 per person final bill with tax and tip.
Went with a bunch of friends and ordered up about 6 dishes along with drinks and sake. Some of the dishes we had were:
- lobster tempura - 5 stars - so flavorful meaty chunks of fresh lobster tail deep fried with a thin layer of tempura along with 4 different delicious sauces
- black cod with miso sauce served in lettuce shells - 5 stars - fantastic
- yellowtail sashimi with jalapeno - 5 stars - fantastic and yummy pieces of yellowtail with jalapeno and also soaking in a delicious light sauce (no need to add own soy sauce)
- ahi tuna in special light sauce - 5 stars fantastic too
- chucks of ahi tuna in little mini taco shells - 3 stars - the flavor of the tuna was lost among the deep fried taste of the taco shells
- beef tenderloin - 3 stars - was nice but nothing too special
The atmosphere is elegant but cool with a nice Vegas buzz and liveliness. This elegant Japanese place seemed a bit oddly located in the crazy and informal confines of the Hard Rock Casino. Service was excellent and attentive - we had basically asked our server to choose a set of dishes for us and I would say most of the selections were awesome.
Bottom line: Definitely had some fantastic dishes here but don't think it was worth the exorbitant prices. Probably could find the same quality of food for half the price at some other very nice Japanese restaurant. But highly recommend giving a try if you are charging to the corporate card!
