  • Cold? Stranded? Hungry? This is the cure. On a frigid Charlotte evening, a gracious French/Vietnamese family absorbed me and treated me to hot tea, Cha gio, pho and curry. I suspect the same broths were simmering on the stove at home. My dining companions are regulars and didn't require menus. The cha gio was delicious, and even better now that I know how to pronounce it ;) I ventured away from pho and was slightly wistful after the mounds of aromatics (mint, cilantro, basil, lemon, lettuce, jalapeño, and bean sprouts) arrived at the table. My coconut curry was a perfect balance of sweet, earthy and creamy with jumbo shrimp, slippery noodles and potato. I think it would have been delicious with the French bread offered as well. The complimentary cookies were appreciated. Also, for the tropical fish lover, they have a lovely tank with clownfish. Overall, an unforgettable experience.
