On a Tuesday afternoon in January, I was the only visitor. Steve was very enthusiastic about his wine and went into great detail about each ones origins. I tasted most of the current offerings and purchased six bottles. I also had a glass of the Rio Red 2010 and some cheese and salami - Steve's choice. One of the cheeses was a cheddar and I bought the last of it. Ha ha.
Tastings end at 5pm and people stop in, purchase a glass or two and chat.
The tasting room is not fancy but is comfortable in a homey way. I'm going to drag my husband in for a pre-dinner drink before we leave town.
It was a pleasant way to spend an hour while my clothes agitated at the local laundry.
