| - A picturesque public space filled with works of art! I really am amazed at how great Charlotte's public spaces are.
This seems to be an underground parking garage that they topped with a public park!
The park is filled with public works of art, many meant to be touched, climbed on, sat on, etc. They offer chairs and tables with chessboards built into them, or lounging chairs to relax and read a book in. The fountains are a beautiful sight, and take the park goer to a place far from the hustle of the financial district of one of the largest financial hubs in the country.
The art was varied, some of it in disrepair. The art is still accessible, and nobody seems to mind if you take a quick snooze on the art.
I enjoyed how they have directional signs posted about. One of the signs pointed the way to Alice, Texas, a tiny town in the Eagle Ford Shale region of the Lone Star State.
There seem to be public restrooms in the parking garage, and there are places to eat along the length of the park.
There's plenty of trees to find shade in on a hot day, and lots of grass to relax in. In my book, this is a five-star park.
