| - I was looking for somewhere that did proper British afternoon tea when I discovered this quaint establishment. One half of the store sold all sorts of tea paraphernalia, and the back was a tearoom where you can sit and enjoy some tea. It was very quiet there - I stayed there for over four hours and not one person came in during the entire time.
Besides tea of course, of which they had a large variety, they also have many snack choices that one would expect during afternoon tea. Scones, delicate cucumber sandwiches with cream cheese and dill, and other baked goods as well as quiches, lunch-sized sandwiches and others were all on the menu. I got a full afternoon tea set - Darjeeling, with several sandwiches, small scones and muffins, small tarts and petits fours. The experience was very pleasant, and I stayed a long time as a slowly enjoyed the refreshments.
In short, a great way to pamper yourself without stressing. Jane Austen would not find this establishment amiss
