| - I really, really hesitate to write a bad review. Ever.
Unfortunately, my experience at Camelback Barber Shop did not align with the great reviews here on Yelp. The older blonde woman who cut my hair was very sweet but we had problems from the start. I wanted to change my hairstyle slightly (medium fade with a little length on top) so I brought in a sheet of paper with a few examples. When she asked how I wanted it cut, I sheepishly pulled out my paper and started to explain what I was looking for - she quickly cut me off, "okay, okay, okay," and pulled out the clippers. I shrugged it off, thinking she's the professional and the place has great reviews, so I'll let her do her thing.
During the hair cut, it was clear that she was not satisfied with the cut itself. The barber and another stylist came over and offered her suggestions in Russian and she kept going back and forth between the clippers, some thinning shears, and standard shears in a pretty haphazard fashion.
Ultimately, she finished the hair cut with a grunt of "too short" and, shaving my sideburns unevenly, sent me on my way.
All told, I spent $22 on an uneven, undesired, slightly embarrassing haircut. Most probably, other barbers/stylists at this location are excellent but I was not given the opportunity to have one of them cut my hair. The individual who butchered my hair will keep me from visiting this location again.
Do not recommend.
