  • To start off this long comment, Dr. SMEE was my Vet. I am honestly never coming back to this place again. I am frustrated on how my dog was treated since the start of admission. I was referred by Boca Park to come here because my dog might have some serious issues with vomiting and losing weight fast. My Maltese lost 60% of her weight in 1 month and has clear, white, sometimes frothy vomit everyday. I had multiple sets of x-rays and bloodwork which both came out negative. They recommended further testing b/c they "suspected" esophagitis. We had barium swallow done cause this was cheaper than doing an endoscopy. They said the barium gave a better picture of the esophagus and said it was a bit inflamed. My dog was discharged with some medications to reduce inflammation. After couple weeks, nothing has changed and my dog is still vomiting every day and has this weird cough. They now suspected respiratory problems and as well as GI problems. Eventually they recommended endoscopy. All my savings were put into my dogs examinations. Endoscopy was performed and they took a biopsy of the GI. The results came out negative lol. Oh ultrasound had to be done as well to see if there was any abnormalities with the GI tract. So frustrated and fed up and what do I get? They recommend a precription diet to see if that will help. Not to your surprise, it didn't help at all. Now, they want to give a B12 injection and start her off with motion sickness medication. I am like wtf you giving motion sickness medication when my dog doesn't have motion sickness. To sum it up, I am down $5000 with no idea why my dog is sick and refuse to continue any more treatment at this place. Waste of time and money. I honestly believe my Vet doesn't know what she is doing even though she states she got her license and she deserves more respect. All she does is turn the blame on me due to my limited budget lol. I think $5000 dollar was enough money to find out what is wrong with my dog. She argues by saying we did find out what was wrong with your dog: upon admission your dog had esophagitis, respiratory distress, and some gas in stomach. My last point then why didn't my dog get any better? Before all this, I said to the vet I am afraid my dog has some form of cancer. They did all these procedure and negated cancer. If my guess is correct, they need to lose their license and go back to school. This place really needs to get audited because all they do is take your money. I am not happy as you can tell. Please for all those "customers" be aware of this place before stepping in.
