| - I can't say enough good things about Pittsburgh Winery. Most importantly, the wine is amazing. My personal favorites are their Malbec and newly-released Cabernet. Even varietals that I don't typically go for (I'm looking at you, Chardonnay) are fantastic here. My boyfriend claims he didn't like wine until he tried the wine at PGH winery. It's that life-changing. I've had 2 or 3 people echo his sentiments too, although not as enthusiastically. One comment from a self-proclaimed wine hater was "wow, this isn't bad at all!"
Aside from the awesome product, the venue is super cool. It has a relaxed vibe, chill enough for a casual drink on a weekend, but is still nice enough that I had my company's holiday party there. They keep everything clean (restrooms included) and every staff member I have met is sociable and knowledgeable about the product.
I haven't been for live music yet, but I've heard it is great from people whose opinions I value.
I do wish they sold/served food (cheese plates or small snacks), but I think you can bring in your own snacks to enjoy, so that isn't really a problem.
If you haven't made it to Pittsburgh Winery yet, definitely add it to your plans for this weekend!
