I don't know much about traditional Colombian fare, but this seems like the stuff you only get from the kitchen of an abuela slaving over a hot stove. When I visited it was a paunchy middle-aged man, but who the heck cares?! This is comfort food.
If you're a first timer, get the Bandeja Paisa. Comes with beef, deep fried pork belly, sausage, a fried egg, beans, on a bed of rice (plus a small corn cake to boot). It's enough to feed two (if you've got small appetites), but my buddy and I soldiered through the meal like champs. Come hungry.
I'm coming back for the Arepas. Stay tuned.
