| - Here's my 2 cents after renting that the Dwell and now named Lyric. As stated in the below reviews, the walls are very thin. I had dogs on the left and right of my apartment that barked 10 hours a day. I had to register a complaint on 3 different times but the staff was very slow to fix the issue. If you don't mind feeling like you live in a dog kennel, this is the place for you.
Another experience: I ask the staff not to put paper notices on the doors concerning pool events, cook-outs, dog shows etc.....they continued to do so. With me traveling for my living, after a week of a notice being taped to my door, it's obvious to anyone scouting out the complex who is gone. Yes, my apartment door was kicked in and robbed. I then was more firm about not putting notices on my door. I found out later they also kicked in the door on 6 other units. You can verify this info by calling the police station, they did a report on all the units.
The complex is modern, units have nice appliances but my rent was 1,190 for one bedroom. Garages cost extra. I didn't mind paying more when I sign the lease because I thought I was secure. Certain times of the day, it's dangerous to exit the complex, there is a back gate that leads to a stop light but the complex has it chained up. It makes no sense if the complex is concerned with safety. They can't say because of robberies, they simply walk in the front gate.
I moved out of my unit on Sept 15 and left for Colorado, I paid full rent through Sept 30. Since I left my apartment with a AAA rating, I got all my deposit back. I received a call from Lindsay around the end of the month stating the check was in the mail. It far exceeded what I expected. After 2 weeks I had never received the check so I called back. I was then told by Lindsay they had 30 days by law to get my deposit to me. I waited 30 days, no check! Since the law says 30 days and now it's been 60+, I called and insisted that the excuses stop. I was told by Lindsay in a very rude manner that doesn't count if the check is lost in the mail. I reminded Lindsay for the entire 9 months I lived in Lyric I paid my rent on schedule and if I didn't I'm sure the story "check is in the mail" wouldn't fly and I wanted my deposit and for them to follow the guidelines set by law.
Finally this week, I was issued a check.
Lindsay is one of the rudest people I have ever met for someone representing a multi-million dollar organization (those were her words) and working with tenants. I never ask of anything that wasn't owed to me. My perception of this place, Lyric only cares about getting you to sign the lease with all these rules but then don't enforce the rules.
I suggest the amount it cost for these units, seek out another complex and base it on reviews of people who had an experience.
If I had to give triple A to my experience, it would be the maintenance group, especially Perry. I think these guys are top notch. I hope the mgmt. staff realizes what they have in these guys.
