| - I was on the border of 2 or 3 stars for this place. Reading the menu online I was looking forward to coming in.
To preface this review, the food was good. And you get a lot of it. Customer service was...meehhhhh.
THE REVIEW: I ordered the steak and eggs bagel. The steak was cooked great, the bacon was good, and the amount of food was insane. I ordered it with a side of fries. I was munching away, actually rather enjoying my bagel sandwich, when I was unpleasantly surprised by a sharp poke in my mouth. I had bitten into a toothpick that had been left in the steak. The toothpick had been used to hold the filet medallion inside the wrapped bacon. Now, I wasn't seriously injured, but it was an unpleasant sensation at the very least. I informed the waitress who apologized, and about 5 minutes later a man (whom I take it was a chef) came out and apologized. We get the bill of $34 for our breakfast, which surprised me. I have always been under the impression that when your food isn't cooked/presented appropriately (which I would consider foreign objects left in my food "not cooked/presented appropriately"), that you never charge the customer for that item. I was definitely disappointed with this, but neglected to argue or contest this. To me it should have been up to the management to make that decision on their own, and it will most definitely influence my decision in the future as to whether or not to patronize this establishment again.
Would I come here again? Probably not.
Would I recommend this place to others? Possibly. Have not decided yet.
