My AC units are covered by a home warranty so with a recent breakdown they assigned Iceman Cooling for the work. After reading the Yelp reviews I decided to ask for Justin since his name showed up for the 3 5-star reviews. The receptionist told me he couldn't come out until Thursday (I called on a Monday). I said fine. Thursday morning I called to confirm the appointment and the dispatcher (different one) told me Justin didn't work in my part of the valley, but she would be sending Gene, who had 20-30 years of experience. When Gene showed up, he didn't look much older than 30, so a little difficult to buy the years of experience. So before any work was started I'd been lied to twice by this company. Gene diagnosed the issue quickly, and was very professional, patiently answering my questions. He did not have a replacement part with him so had to go back and order - company line is that it could be 5-7 business days but he told me it was usually sooner. The following Tuesday I still hadn't heard back from them so I called. The person I spoke to said they had tried to call me last Thursday to set up the follow-up appointment and had left me a voice mail. There was no record of a call or voice message. It turned out they had not called me - the number she told me they called was not my phone - off by a digit. So their front desk either lied to me, or wasn't able to make a simple phone call - either way, not good. So again I had to wait 3 more days in the Phoenix summer for Gene to come back. When Gene came back out he made the fix quickly, explained it clearly to me and was out the door in 30 minutes or less. Gene was very good on this job. The front desk was horrible, thus my lukewarm review on them.
