| - My husband and I have lived in Camden Cotton Mills since we moved to Charlotte from DC just 1 year ago (June 2016). We are so happy at Camden Cotton Mills! We knew we wanted to live in Uptown and after seeing countless boring, cookie-cutter apartments we fell in love with the look and feel and originality of Camden Cotton Mills; along with the fact that it's a humble, cute complex compared to the overwhelmingly huge, sky scraper apt complexes that just aren't appealing to us. The location is beyond convenient with a grocery, drug store and several restaurants and bars within just 2-3 blocks; on top of that, it's walk-able to everything else Uptown has to offer. We got lucky with an apt available in our time frame that has a huge balcony, which we love.
Ben was our leasing agent and he could not have been more friendly, helpful and accommodating. The Leasing Office Team as a whole really knows customer service; they always have a smile on their face, always willing to help and answer random questions, and are very communicative when residents need to be notified about anything apartment-wise (like fire alarm testing or pool opening for the season! etc) - They post signs in the elevators, send emails and post on the Camden portal all to keep us informed. The Team also hosts great resident events throughout the year (on the pool deck or at a local restaurant) to allow us to meet our neighbors and to bring us together as a community.
The Facilities Team here is great as well, they are so quick to respond to work orders which are easily submitted online (light bulb in your apt is out etc) and are always seen around doing, fixing, cleaning, all with a smile on their face! They keep the pool deck super clean and inviting looking at all times - it's my favorite spot to enjoy some fresh air after work, grill out dinner, and spend time in the pool on the weekends, with an amazing city skyline view. The building has a small gym which is convenient for days when I'm too lazy to walk to my gym and/or it's pouring rain out. The building is also very secure with a fob needed to access all entries into the building as well as any floor in the elevator. I've always felt safe here. The train that runs behind the building is not an issue at all, our apt faces the train (which our balcony overlooks and we see the sunset from every night!) and the train noise is not a bother at all, it is ever so light.
Camden Cotton Mills is an all-around great complex to live in and we don't for a second regret our decision to live here, our experience living here has definitely helped make our first year in Charlotte amazing!
