We enjoyed our visit to the national aviary where a variety of birds can be seen. Most of the exhibits are held inside so it's a good place to visit on a rainy day. Parking is $5 a car and the lot is a bit small but we were able to park with Joey issues. This is a wonderful place for the elementary age level. You can pay extra money to have one on one contact with certain animals (be forewarned that prices range from $75 - $300). The normal entrance fee is enough to see all that is required at the aviary. To avoid paying high costs for food and drinks I would recommend packing a small bag with your own snacks and drinks. Grab a friend or family member and head over to watch the birds up close.
