  • I had an awful experience at Afif! I went for a haircut after reading some good reviews about their salon. I called and made an appointment in advance, told them its my first time to visit the salon so I didn't have any particular hairstylist. My appointment was with Shanty. I had the pictures of my haircut on my iPad, and showed her exactly what i wanted. very simple and classy short haircut that I almost always get anywhere I go. She sounded very confident, had no questions, took a quick look at the pictures and my hair and told me "ok, sure". I walked out with an extremely short hair from the back and long from the front, completely the opposite of what I wanted. I tried to stop her many times from getting to short and she kept telling me that my hair is too thick and she knows what she's doing while throwing jokes here and there. Shanty didn't have the knowledge or the experience with what she was doing at all! When i saw how short she have gone and asked her if she wanted to see the pictures again because that is not what i asked, she started saying that I'm confusing her and I'm not clear enough with what I wanted! Her dishonesty and the way that she was just trying to cover her lack of experience by blaming it on me shocked me! And here where I asked her to just stop, because she's obviously were doing my hair her way! The wrong way The haircut that I had is awfully short, ugly and i hate it! I paid $80 on top of it. I do not recommend Afif for ladies haircut at all! And I'm definitely not going there ever.
