I trusted tripadvisor over yelp for the first time in half a decade. Bad idea.
It's not that my stay was not good, but it did not live up to this 4.6/5 that the advisor had told me it was.
Check-In..was a breeze. My keys were ready for me, quick swipe of my card and I was off. They did not bother asking for my AAA membership card which I had used to book the room.
Customer service was okay. The front desk must of been overwhelmed at the high number of drunk Mexicans that they had to deal with it, so maybe I should give them a pass. The front desk rep let me get away with one as well, when I got into a small back and forth with another guest. Team no snitch.
I never complain about elevators, but please do us all a favor and renovate them. They looked like a run down version of the elevator that Will Smith got stuck on in one of the episodes of the Fresh Prince of Bel Air. We're 90's talking.
The rooms were a bit 03. But VERY VERY clean. We had a 2 bedroom suite that lived up to its name in size. Full kitchen with 3 tv's and 2 bathrooms. Bathroom products were good and the beds were comfortable at a B grade level.
The breakfast though..eh I expected a bit more than a waffle to cure the morning after hunger. Sure there were other things but they did not sell me on them. It's more of a "to just put something in your stomach" kind of thing.
They offered a shuttle, it is contracted and they charge 5$ round trip to the University of Phoenix stadium. You're better off Lyfting as It fills up quickly and the driver appeared to be working it on his day from his usual minuteman gig.
The price felt justified, nothing more or less. If you're in the area for a game at the stadium there is a Renaissance across the street, check up on that first. If it fails and you can get a decent deal here, then go for it. You'll get the essentials at an A-OK level.
