| - My daughter went in to have her long dyed hair stripped of color then re-colored lighter than it was before. The appt took 5 hrs and the day after, my daughter's hair was totally FRIED! She went back in after a few days and was told this was totally normal, (really????), we should BUY (not be given) specific product that would help calm the hair down. Did that and 2 weeks later it was still fried and brittle and totally ruined. They did a deep conditioning to try and help it, still maintaining it would get better -but, no difference.
3 independent hairdressers all told us the hair was totally ruined, and being told it would get better was pure fantasy, so we met with the owner who was very pleasant but would not admit any wrongdoing. She said that it's well known that such harsh chemicals can damage the hair, but we were never warned. We told her we wanted a full refund (we didn't want them near her hair again)- she said her husband deals with that and he would email us an offer.
As it was SO obvious they messed up, and they kept saying they pride themselves on great customer service- so we expected a full refund ($260 + $25 for the product they sold us that did nothing), but they offered $100 which we declined - after lots of emails back and forth, they finally offered $175, only willing to refund the color costs and not the haircut or gratuity or product costs. My daughter's hair is ruined and will have to grow out and keep getting cut back until the dead hair has been cut off - probably 2 years. They had no real empathy for the devastation this has caused my daughter and were only concerned about refunding as little as possible. The fact they made us work hard to even get the $175 was unprofessional. Customer service at its very very worst.
