  • This is a review of Tryst Night Club's NYE 2014. We came out for my cousin's birthday. There were a few red flags before we even got to this club, they gave my cousin the run around when she was booking, we got a table with one bottle for $135, and the tickets were still $25 a week before the event. Let's just say it was a night of firsts! When we arrived, we had to wait outside 30-45 minutes in the freezing cold, even though our group had bottle service/ a table and had preordered tickets. Never had that happen before. We weren't the only ones, there were several other disgruntled groups waiting in the 'bottle service line'. Then we ran into difficulty when one of the guys, started giving my cousin attitude as he told us he couldn't find my cousin's name on his list (despite the fact that we seemed be on the other lists that were checked). From that and talking to other people in the bottle service line, it was obvious that they were extremely disorganized. At one point, the guy checking the list for bottle service at the door started yelling at the indoor staff calling them unprofessional and idiots, right in front of us. As we were waiting to get it sorted out, I left the line briefly to flag down a friend and bring her over, when I came back to join the line, this same guy started yelling at me, "Hey, where do you think you're going?" I told him that I was with this group, and I just went to grab a friend. He started going on about how we can't just join the line and blah blah blah, and as I try to explain he cuts me off telling me I had an attitude and calling me 'sweety'. I had enough at that point, waiting in the cold, waiting for them to sort out their mess, so I told him he was the one with the attitude and to stop calling me sweety because it was condescending. He absolutely lost it. He started yelling "What should I call you, girl? Girl? GIRL?" He started yelling that he wasn't going to let me into the club, that he would make our group wait until last. Never had that happen before. It was extremely unprofessional and I would have left at that point, because no amount of money was worth that but I didn't want to be the one to ruin my cousins birthday after everyone had spent their money, so I didn't argue. It got worse. When we got inside, coat check was full. Also, never had that happen before. Didn't even know that was possible at an event where you preordered tickets. However, I was willing to over look it because we had a table. Only, our 'table' was actually the left had side of the bar counter. We couldn't even set our coats down because the bartenders needed it to serve drinks. Tryst obviously doesn't know how to handle large events and their customer service is atrocious. You could not pay me to go here again.
