Who knew buying weed could be like a trip to the spa? I was pleasantly surprised that a business that makes its money selling products was just as friendly and chatty as a business that sells services. The guy who met me at the door and explained the process was the same guy who served as my budtender. I think his name was Steve so that's what I'll go with.
The waiting area gets busy on weekend afternoons so if it's full, a short line forms outside, but there are tons of budtenders so you never wait for long. Apothecarium first-timers fill out a short consent form stating they'll be on their best behavior while inside. Once in the waiting area, they'll take your ID and you get to sit in the chairs while looking over the menu. There are people from every race, creed, demographic and walk of life imaginable inside. You'll get your ID back and then your name will be called. Your personal budtender will meet you in the waiting area and bring you back to "the room".
I wasn't familiar with any of the options since this was my first time buying weed legally. Steve helped me review the menu by pointing out what colors corresponded to sativas, indicas and hybrids. The menu also lists the THC percentages. I went with a new vape pen and two cartridges plus my free rollie for being a virgin. Prices are reasonable though they didn't have my first two options in stock. I paid $109 for the pen and both cartridges. They do accept debit cards. The old war vet buying dope next to me couldn't help himself. "BACK IN THE DAY, YOU COULD ONLY BUY DRUGS WITH GOOD HARD CASH." This was a great first experience. Best thing about the weed spa is you leave a happy customer and don't even have to tip!
