  • With a group of 5, we had afternoon tea on Victoria Day. The price was a bit steep ($50pp) but overall, the experience was great. The hotel's hostess promptly greeted us and offered to take our coats for complimentary coat check. We were seated in the purple room which was cozy. Our server, Jasper, provided a variety of recommendations spanning different types of tea. Each tea selection comes in its own teapot. We ordered: Tibetan Tiger, Passion & Envy, Earl Grey w/ Roses, Apple & Mango, and Masala Chai. All were enjoyed greatly. The food, which is pre-selected, came out on two tiered serving dishes. Our selection included: Egg salad pinwheels, spicy chicken tarts, scones (raisin, poppyseed), a selection of mini desserts, tuna puff pastry, beet risotto stuffed in a cucumber, coconut date balls, mushroom and goat cheese tarts & a few other items. We had a vegetarian & a dairy free request for half of our party and both were well accommodated. Overall, a great idea for a birthday celebration or to celebrate a special occasion. Would definitely recommend again.
