  • I feel like I go to a different stylist every time I visit. This time, Tess was available so she kindly took my mom and I in as a same day appointment. She cut off about 4 inches of mom's hair and she looked fabulous! I was up next and I specifically told Tess how I wanted the color and cut. I also SPECIFICALLY ask her what the. Price would be Like and she said "stating at $175, but it'll probably be $175 since you don't have a lot of hair" okay great! Only $10 more than the cut and color I had last year. Our appointment is at 230 and Tess probably starts on me at about 3pm. She starts the color and takes a very long time to finish the color. I tell her I want balayage highlights around my face and I literally have nothing framing my face! The whole top of my head is black. Okay... it might be because she wasn't paying attention to my needs since she too busy talking to her coworkers! Like swearing and talking about going out after work. I just try to let it go and just accept that she may not be paying attention to me but my hair will look great. So she starts to rinse the dye off and she gives absolutely no head massage! And she takes about an 45 minutes just to apply toner and wash it out and see condition. Versus the other stylist her take about 20 minutes. While she's washing my hair she starts talking with the other girl coworkers. They seem kind of cat-ty when the talk too. And they speak this way in front of customers too. So we are finally onto my hair cut (it is 3 hours into my appointment) and she gives me side bangs (i asked for split bangs down the middle) and doesn't give me the layers I want and I look at my hair and it's black on the top (natural hair color), orangey yellow and then a pretty blond lilac on the bottom. I only liked the bottom color. She even proceeded to take a pic of my hair. I wasn't in love with it but okay... she finally tells me the price and she says your total is $220. What?!? First of all this is NOT a $220 worth cut and color, neither was the service. Secondly, I specifically asked the price before everything was said and done and she told me $175! No wonder people love to use groupon here because $60 is much more fitting than $220! I was blown away and she says "sorry girl I should've told you before hand that that was only the color price." I almost didn't tip her but I really can't do that because I have a heart. I started coming hair in 2015 and I really liked the ambience but after coming for a few years this place has declined. Prices have gone up tremendously but the service hasn't gotten better with the soaring prices. If you have to pay $220 you might as well go somewhere worthwhile!
