  • Hubby and I went to Libre last night to celebrate our 19th wedding anniversary. We were not disappointed. We sat out on the patio because it was such a beautiful evening but walking thru the restaurant we experienced a cool relaxing vibe. We'll eat inside next time. I'm not a big margarita fan but with 2 options going on (unlimited tacos and tequila ( Tuesday only) or $6 HH margs and teezers. I decided to go with a marg. I was pleasantly surprised it did not have an overly sour taste as I experience with most margs. We ordered off the HH menu and had guacamole, corn fritters, ceviche and carne asada tacos. I'm a purist when it comes to guac just like avocado, cilantro and a little onion this is how is was served very yummy. But if your looking for tomatoes and other add ins there not there but I'd still suggest giving it a try. The ceviche (shrimp) was good and a nice touch is that it was served with fried plantains as opposed to tortilla chips. My only complaint is the tacos. Although very tasty didn't think it was worth the $6 price especially because it was only 1 taco for that HH price. Wonder what the regular price of a taco is? Waitstaff was pleasant always checking on us filling our water and removing empty plates. Patio had plenty of customers, good music playing and an overall nice vibe going. We'll definitely be back and sit inside next time waiting for a rainy day or cooler weather for that though. So we may be back in the patio before then. Also will go with the unlimited tacos and margs next time. Better deal we believe. Rated 4 stars because of what we thought to be the overpriced tacos.
