| - There is so much I love about this shop!
It's an especially good place for gifts. They offer a wide range of price points, and their products are just classy and unique enough for everyone who might care about those kinds of things. No other gift can please such a wide cross-section of people: downtowners, folks from the burbs, tourists, professionals, parents, students, hipsters, vegans, new immigrants, ex-pats, Margaret Atwood fans, Rob Ford supporters, and everyone in between.
The only exception was a diabetic who did not love the sugar-free chocolate. But then he shared it with the rest of us (who devoured it), so I still consider that to be a win.
They have loads of delicious stuff, but here are a few of my all-time faves:
1. The mayan hot chocolate with milk is rich, creamy, and just a bit spicy, making it the perfect pick-me-up on a cold day.
2. For a twist on classic english toffee (although theirs is super tasty), consider the lemon pistachio or root beer toffee (if it's in stock).
3. The chocolate-covered Australian ginger is intensely gingery, with a fantastic kick.
4. The fleur de sel caramels are a heavenly treat from behind the glass.
5. The toasted corn tumbled in chocolate may seem pricey, but the sweet/salty combination is out-of-this-world good.
6. Blueberry/basil sorbetto? Yes! Heck yes. 1000x yes.
