  • Located in a strip plaza on Richmond Road, Virginia Tile is one of the few places in the area to buy high-end super nice tile.  The selection features designer brands such as Walker Zenger.      The interior is loaded with tile and samples everywhere you look.  There are walls of tiles, marble, stone and ceramics.  This is also the only place I know of that sells tile wall murals.  Normally you could only get those online.  You can at least see them at Virginia Tile.   The staff is just OK.  I never quite feel like anyone is bending over to assist me.  There is a little of that  "snooty" designer vibe in the air.  They know better and I don't.  You understand what I mean?  They will show you items, but I have found their follow up to be lack-luster.  In fact, I find myself chasing them to receive information.   The most important thing to note here is that they WILL NOT SELL DIRECTLY TO CUSTOMERS.  If you want to buy from them, you must go through a contractor or designer.  They will not tell you the prices either.  This is frustrating.  Your contractor could mark it up as much as they would like.   In short, I still visit them when I'm working on a project.  I just wish there were more options in the area.
