America's Best Value Inn I'm not sure I would say best value although when you're in Vegas getting a room for a little over $100 a night, that seems like a good value.
I was very excited when arriving early they still allowed me to check into my room. However after getting to my room I was terrified at the number of people who likely stayed there for a single hour and carried on with their Vegas Vacation. The smell the look, the half used roll of toilet paper (I am all for sustainable practices but...)
The television stand had been painted over and contained a very small, very old box television. The paint job just gave it a dingy feel... We weren't there to watch television and therefore it didn't cause any issue. The room it's self-contained a mugginess. There was an overwhelming odor. And a very shoddy repair job from what looked like a previous flood of some sort.
This is located just off of the strip...however, it is still within walking distance. I was surprised to see they did happen to have some type of room service or something which would not have been expected at a place like this.
They do have a pool which was nice although we didn't go for a dip. I was upset at their $50 security deposit considering it was unexpected and not mentioned. Walking through the parking lot was unpleasant to the senses although not likely their fault.
They got an extra star because after getting to the room, I totally expected a far worse experience. At the same time a star ought to be lost for the unclean light switches but we did receive new sheets the following day and the truck was safe in the lot. I wouldn't stay here again for a trip to Vegas if my intent is to gamble and party. If I were going for some other purpose and was looking to save cash, maybe but not likely. It certainly isn't a place that one would get the entire Vegas experience. For $50 extra dollars one could find another hotel actually on the strip....
