  • Pearly Mae's has a ton of cute, eclectic items. For that I am giving 2 stars. I am only giving 2 because I found a beautiful dress, tried it on, and sqealed with glee when I saw the tag; $5!!!! I skipped up to the counter with my treasure only to dicover that the cashier rang me up for $36?!? Seems the dress had ANOTHER tag (their ridiculously marked up tag) which was $36. The lady then proceeded to gripe that they paid the lady $5 for it and she was at fault for "forgetting to remove the tag". Uh, wouldn't that be YOUR job? Anyhow, I buy a lot of resale and the price was excessive for an item you got for $5. My husband was able to talk her into $30, but I feel they should have honored the $5 tag and just been more careful in the future. Just to let patrons know how much of a markup they are being charged ir thinking about buying there.
