Going to get my complaint out of the way early: this place needs to open new locations. It's in North Phoenix, and unfortunately that isn't the most convenient place for me. Fortunately I had an errand near-ish to it, so I made it a point to go here.
The prices are very reasonable. At least for the consumer. The quality exceeded what I paid for it. I was a little worried it was going to be small, but it was pretty much a foot-long banh mi. The combination/ratio of all the ingredients was absolutely perfect, and the flavor was so good I wanted to get another. By another, I mean something like a 10-foot banh mi for an office party.
The bread was excellent, but I love Vietnamese bread. It's extra crisp on the outside, and airy-soft in the middle. The flavors are layered, so you get an explosive burst in your mouth, yet it all comes together harmoniously. I really wanted to try something from the shaved ice menu, but that will be for next time. I think I'm going to have to come up with an excuse to go to North Phoenix again. And soon.
