If you're looking for a quiet izakaya experience, try the upper floor of Nome, it's much calmer than the atmosphere on the main floor.
The food here is fantastic, some of my favourites are the japa burger (the patty is actually slices of marinated beef that tasted like Korean BBQ), the sashimi donburi (essentially their sashimi salad with rice), and baked oysters. The unagi risotto was a little odd, the texture isn't like traditional rice and is almost mushy but it tasted alright.
I didn't try their drinks, but they had an interesting selection. Definitely consult your server about choices!
