  • Truly fine dining, but I'm going to tell you a big tip. Il Mulino is really like walking into a New York traditional fine dining restaurant. With waiters dressed in full tux' s and bus boys in white jackets. You can dress casual or dress up its still Vegas. The Food. When you first sit down the food starts coming... Fried zucchini, Reggiano Parm, breads,and bruchetta before you even see a menu, all gratis. The waiter who introduces himself as the Captain rattles off a number of specials perfectly. Here's your big tip about this restaurant. Order just one thing and split all your selections between 2 people. Besides being pricy the portions are huge. The food is excellently prepare and presently elegantly. Service is very attentive. Their signature dish not on the menu is; mushroom stuffed Ravioli with a black truffle champagne cream sauce. They don't tell you but its $50. More expensive I think then any of the printed menu items. Ask for prices on specials. We also ordered the pappardelle with Bolognese sauce (enough for 3 people) which was very good. Oh yes we had their Caesar salad excellent. The food the service very very good. At the end of your dinner they give you a shot of Grappa.... gratis again. It all felt a little 1950's and 2014 all rapped into one, but don't get me wrong I would go back in a heartbeat knowing the tips I gave you. Its high end fine Italian cuisine prepared like u were in Italy but huge portions. One other point I was not familiar with.... When we got our check there was a tip section, and a Captain tip section. I just left the customary 20%.
