After publishing my initial review, Steven (the business owner) contacted me directly to speak about my experience at his animal hospital. He was concerned that I did not receive the best service and wanted to make sure he followed up.
Steven explained that my experience was a kind of comedy of errors; the day I went to the animal hospital, his daughter was extremely sick and needed to be taken to the hospital. He explained that the vet covering for him isn't a permanent hire but was brought on last minute given the emergency circumstances. Steven explained that he has built his company from scratch and takes it very seriously, which was evident in his concern for my not-so-stellar review.
I appreciate that Steven is using Yelp to listen to his customer's concerns and that he took the time to reach out to me to explain the circumstances. After speaking with him, I am open to giving the Leslieville Animal Hospital another try in hopes of receiving the five-star service the facility is known for. Three stars for social listening.
