| - Wanted to buy my man a grill before I left out of town for a few months, I saw online that the Weber he wanted was at this location across town. So I attempted to order the grill online, I probably tried about 5 times and my order kept getting suspended. (probably cuz my billing address is In LA) So I figured I'll just head down to the store and buy it there.
I decided to call first to make sure it was there and then I was advised that the price was 599, when online it's listed as 549. I then explained that to the guy on the phone and he says well the in store price is different and if u want the online price buy it online. I thought fine I'll try it for the 6th time, this time I called my bank to see why it kept getting cancelled they advised me that Ace wasn't accepting the purchase for some reason, finally i decided to create a paypal account to order it off the website and it went through.
Thank God I thought, finally I'm content and I call the store to tell them I was able to purchase it online and if I could just swoop by and pick it up today (this was around 4pm), I was advised it would probably be an hour before I could come down, then was told the grill that I was buying was preassembled and on the floor. I asked so u are selling a floor model for more money then it's listed for this specific grill in every hardware store (Home Depot, Lowe's etc)? They gave me an answer that all their grills come preassembled in their store so I was like whatever's fine ... (Initially I was wanting to just put the box In my car and drive across town i live in southwest by the way so this store isn't close, but I figured great I can save time on having to build it) .... Anyways that's besides the fact now i have to get a truck. I got off the phone with them and made arrangements for a truck (5pm) , I never received a "ur order is ready for pick up email" that day and I thought that's fine I'll wait till tomorrow. (Store closed at 8pm)
(7:35am next day) I just woke this am with an email saying my order has been cancelled because the store didn't have the grill in stock. Lmao...... I can't right now seriously what type of business is being ran here. I read up on Ace and these stores are independently owned, well good luck to who ever owns this one, I guess they want their customers to pay roughly $50s more for floor models even when the suggested Weber retail price was reduced in all stores including theirs to 549.00 yet for some reason they want to sell it for 599.00 and don't forget the caveat AS A FLOOR MODEL !!!!
I ended up just buying the grill off Amazon with my prime membership by the way which I should have done from the get go.. but I thought let me give these regular stores a try ... Amazon's delivering my Order for free tomorrow and for 549 !!!!! and these stores want to blame Amazon for their short falls ... it's incidents like these.... *rubs two fingers together* tisk tisk
