| - Enjoyed a quacktastic tour which was all it was quacked up to be! (Had to write that after hearing our guides say those phrases....)
A group of friends and I did this tour last Saturday, which was a damp, cold, rainy, gray day of 57 degrees. We were all a little concerned that it was rainy, and that the side flaps of the truck/boat were up, so the seats were all wet, but once we got underway, we really enjoyed ourselves.
The tour itself is well described by the other yelpers - ours wound through the city past building of historical significance, and then went into the river for a tour of the city from the water and more history. I thought our guides, both the guy driving us and the young woman, Jezebel, who provided entertaining jokes along with the city stories, were excellent. I could have listened to them all day! I especially appreciated their efforts to connect with all of us on the tour, from asking us where we were from and what we had seen of the city so far, to commenting on things about the 'Burgh that were like our home cities. They also invited the young kids on the tour to steer the boat once we were in the water.
I HIGHLY recommend taking this tour - it is a must-do for anyone visiting Pittsburgh. Very enjoyable even in the rain!! And a great value at $23 pp for roughly an hours tour and entertainment.
