This place is unique. The decor is wonderful. My wife is an artist and she just loved it.
The food is unlike anything else I've tasted in the Pittsburgh area. The chicken pot pie was a bit on the spicy side, but in a good way. It was topped with a puff pastry instead of the traditional crust. We found the lamb medallions a bit on the tough side. The flatbread was excellent. I found the scallop lemongrass soup tasty but a bit thin.
I do have to give a word of warning, which also will explain my overall rating. Though the food is tasty, the portions are tiny. The result was that each of our party of four had to order additional food to feel satisfied. This also made the meal more expensive than we expected. Dinner for four with two glasses of wine was over $150 plus tip. Service was excellent. The server really made us feel welcome.
We really liked this place, but we're not sure we can afford to return very often.
