rev:text	Weeds is a nice little indie coffee joint on 20th. Definitely lots of character with an artsy flair. The coffee and food is good. Everything is priced decently and on-par with the quality. Lots of community news and nifty events that go on, powered by local musicians and artists. Free wireless. I have a few gripes with Weeds, though, so I don't go as often as I would like to. I've had a few weird experiences there. Once, I was scolded because a friend and I were talking through some sort of poetry reading thing. We were there first, engrossed in conversation for a number of hours in the back corner and it didn't occur to us that there was something "formal" going on. Well, excuse me, Mr. Pretentious. I thought this was a coffee place where I could enjoy a conversation and a few coffees! It was incredibly insulting. The staff are either super sweet/helpful or kinda passive aggressive - there doesn't seem to be consistency there. Of course, I keep trying anyway. Also, if you're going to get some work done, it's not really a comfy place to stay a while. I don't know what's up with the chairs, but they are not for "endurance" sitting. The wireless is reliably slow compared to what I'm used to as well. I'd advise checking what's going on that evening if you've got a heavy workload - there are often bands and other loud events that happen in the evening. It's great if you want to hang out with a friend for a bit, though. So, Weeds gets a mediocre 3 stars. They'll continue to get my business but they aren't my first choice. Oh yeah, and BRING CASH! They are cash only.
