| - Before I get started into this rant, this is mainly about a membership problem not the actual gym. I do have to say that i have been to this gym before multiple times and I don't mind it. It does not have all the machines I require and it's pretty overcrowded with all the machines that they do have. However, its okay. If you're a beginner in the gym I would suggest this place because they will have all the necessary equipment for beginners.
Now, getting into the problems that I had while signing up for a membership. I had never had my own personal GoodLife pass before. I was able to use this gym in other ways. I decided that I was going to finally get my own membership under my own name. I went to this location because it was an all female location and based off of my goodlife experience, it's easier to talk to a female, being a female in a situation like this (if you're trying to bargain a price). As soon as you ask to sign up for a membership they give you a small pamphlet that just asks way too many questions about your fitness goals and activity. I didn't bother even though she said it was mandatory. I just filled out the front with my basic information instead. She informed me about the free personal training session and I had politely declined the offer. She asked me again and then asked me for a third time this time asking me why! I really don't think it's any of your business, but I can train myself, I know what I'm doing in the gym and there's no point in one 45 minute session if I can't pay for the rest!
After I finally settled on what type of membership I wanted, she began to ask me what my fitness goals were. So i answered her, thinking that it was just because she was curious...since i just told her I wont be needing a personal trainer. Then I see her writing everything I say into her book. She let me know that the trainer can help me out with my goals and get me where I want to be over a few weeks. But why are you even asking me when I told you that it's going to be a little bit hard for me to pay for the membership itself on my own?! I said no woman! Anyway, I didn't think much of it at the time..I was still being naive thinking no this can't be for personal training. And then two days later I get a call from GoodLife basically asking me when I want to start my first session. They've called three times already, and I have been busy so could not pick up. Very annoying.
BUT GoodLife is amazing! Just gotta go to the right one
