  • I want a cheap, fast, no frills, no perfume, simple haircut with no upsell as is the practice at most of the "salons" around Montreal and that's what I ALWAYS get at Coiffure Pierre. Even if I have to look my best for a formal occasion where I have to abandon my usual homeless demeanor, this is my choice. Also,while I haven't been a McGill student for 50 years, I still get a $17 student rate. Although maybe she does deduct for my increasing bald pate which she denies is her doing. She knows more than a little about McGill across the street and displays Redmen football team photos on the wall which is acceptable marketing. If you want talk, you get talk and interestingly she has commented on my conversations from months earlier so she IS listening. So this place is my choice for the duration.
