  • A mint julep is a great summer drink - you have to like bourbon. I wandered into the Highlander and sparked up a chat with the guy on the floor and told him I was looking for a recommend on bourbon for a mint julep - he didn't flinch and stated that the Bulleit was his favourite because of a slight carmel tone. I was not disappointed the bourbon was spot on - I need to head back for another as those juleps sure go down nice on a warm day in the back yard. Highlander has a great selection of wine, non-swill beers and liquors. AND, the staff can speak with knowledge on the products.
