  • Chinguacousy Park really covers ALL the bases: Ski hill Beach Volleyball courts Play grounds Skateboard park Soccer fields Football fields Loads of free parking Paths for running Water park (well...place they spray water at you) Paddle boats Petting Zoo Mini Golf Tennis Courts (coming soon) Now, ski hill is a relative term...it's actually a small mound of buried garbage. No really, it used to be a dump, they've covered it up and now it's a ski 'hill'. (I've taken toboggans down steeper longer hills than this...the difference is there was no t-bar to take me to the top after a run). People that grew up in Brampton tell me this is where all their school ski trips were to. They're doing a lot of renovations in the park right now, 13 brand new volleyball courts just completed (which they run a great volleyball league on). They are also working on a building that will act as a brand new ski chalet for the winter and a patio/restaurant/bar for the summer. It looks like it's going to be really nice when it's finished. Anyway, Brampton is lucky to have a park like this so close to their city center.
